Sagrantino di Montefalco D.O.C.G.

Sagrantino di Montefalco D.O.C.G. (Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin)
Grown in Umbria in the Montefalco area, it is considered to be one of Italy’s most ancient red grape varieties. It produces a fine red wine with a vigorous personality. It has a deep ruby-red color with purplish highlights that gradually become more garnet-like with age. Its intense and persistent bouquet ranges from red fruits, such as blackberries, to the typical aromas of aging, like the cocoa and cinnamon. Its taste is characterized by the presence of notably rich tannins that make the wine suitable for long periods of ageing. The structure is harmonious with a lingering aftertaste.
